Swayamwar – Season 2 launches with Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, which is Rahul Mahajan’s quest for his perfect bride. But this is Rahul Mahajan we’re talking about – the man who was the biggest joke on Big Boss last year. Plus he has a broken marriage behind him; his wife lambasted him and his on-off girlfriend happens to be Payal Rohatgi. So while the channel decided who would be the women vying for his attention on the show. StarWeek decided to ask tellyland’s actresses if they thought Rahul was a suitable groom. And would they consider marrying this man…

To each his/her own. Well, no I wouldn’t want to be a part of such a show as for now. But never say never. I can’t comment on Rahul since I don’t know him at all.

Akshay Kumar is quite in demand these days – from the industry’s Khans, we mean. While the war between Salman and Shah Rukh continues, both the superstars are trying their best to woo Kumar on their side. SRK even made that obvious when he made peace with him recently. But the story continues after that. It seems that a couple of days after they ‘patched up’, SRK invited Akshay over to his house Mannat for a casual dinner. Gauri’s Roman birthday
One thing our first lady of Bollywood, Gauri Khan, truly knows how to do – is live life large. Be it her parties or vacations, they are all extravagant. Now we hear that Queen Khan is taking off with her gal pals to Rome, in order to bring in her 40th birthday, on the eigth of October. And much to everybody’s disappointment, hubby SRK isn’t going along. It’s only Gauri and the girls. Her bunch of girl friends includes Kajol Anand, Maheep Kapoor & Bhavna Pandey amongst others. An only girl gang, taking off on a Roman holiday surely guarantees some crackling fun. Too bad the husbands will miss out on it.

Aamir takes the call
It’s not that Aamir Khan is passionate only about his home productions. The actor is back to work and is presently shooting for the last spell of 3 Idiots. In the midst of it all, he’s also taking time out to plan the marketing and promotions of the film. Recently, a team from Big Pictures (who’re co-producing the movie) dropped in to Aamir’s house to give him a detailed presentation of the marketing plan. They had been rehearsing and practising for over 10 days before the meeting happened. They didn’t want anything to go wrong since Aamir believes in perfection. Luckily for them, the actor was happy and he approved all the ideas. We hear a couple of guys from the team even got a promotion after that.

Happy-go-lucky and full of ambition, Jaipur girl Priyanka Solanki came to Mumbai two months ago. She may not have made her foray into Bollywood yet, but she is certainly raring to go. Back home she modelled for several ramp shows including a show for Spykar. But she wants to be fully prepared before she takes on B-town and is training at acting school, Creating Characters. She has her sights set on the perfect role so no matter how much she is pursued by TV channels she is determined to wait until her course is over before she signs up for anything.

When was the first time you realized you were sexy?
When I was in the 10th standard. People used to tell me that I was damn sexy, that’s when I started wearing skimpy clothes. Now I know that I’m sexy.

The kind of movies you’d like to do?
I’d like to do romantic and family-oriented kind of movies. I’d love to do a bahu role or maybe a college girl look.

Sexy is when people are attracted to you. It is when you’re not showing your body but you are still attractive. Not revealing but appealing.

Frankly I don’t give a shit about these things. I’m here for my acting career so I don’t care what anyone says to me.
