Swayamwar – Season 2 launches with Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, which is Rahul Mahajan’s quest for his perfect bride. But this is Rahul Mahajan we’re talking about – the man who was the biggest joke on Big Boss last year. Plus he has a broken marriage behind him; his wife lambasted him and his on-off girlfriend happens to be Payal Rohatgi. So while the channel decided who would be the women vying for his attention on the show. StarWeek decided to ask tellyland’s actresses if they thought Rahul was a suitable groom. And would they consider marrying this man…
To each his/her own. Well, no I wouldn’t want to be a part of such a show as for now. But never say never. I can’t comment on Rahul since I don’t know him at all.

Thi season is going to be the absolute same scenario. The girl who does marry Rahul will be luckier than Rahul himself since he is quite a celeb and she will get her share of the limelight.

I loved the show as an audience. I have always kept my personal life under wraps so I would never want my marriage to be a spectacle. On a professional level, we have all seen him on TV and know he is but one has to get to know him on a more professional level to make a lifetime commitment like marriage.

I watched Swayamwar last season and found the show very entertaining. People were a part of it for various reasons. Some for fame, some for love and some just for entertainment. I am sure some girls might think Rahul Mahajan is quite a catch but I wouldn’t be a part of such a show since the institution of marriage is very personal to me.

I can’t think of Rahul as a groom, because he’s like a brother to me. Many girls might like him; others might not like him. It’s their personal choice. He’s a very nice guy, but I don’t know if he’s really serious about this. When I spoke to him last, he seemed very serious about settling down. After Rakhi’s stint on the show, people are wondering if it’s drama or real. I hope he finds the right girl who can laugh like him.

I don’t think I would ever be a part of such a show. I think marriage is very pure and very personal. It’s not supposed to fetch a high TRP rating. Rakhi is a household name and the show was successful so good for her. I really don’t know Rahul Mahajan as a person but whatever I have seen of him on Big Boss, I don’t think we will ever get along.
